Student Orientation, July 5, 2008: Director and teachers welcome the students to the Arabic Summer Academy. We'll be doing team-building activities and Arabic language games!
Instruction, July 7-August 1, 2008: Here is what the typical school day looks like:
- 8:30am: Students arrive at the Arabic Summer Academy for breakfast
- 9am-10:30am: Reading and Writing Class
- 10:30am-Noon: Speaking and Listening Class
- Noon-1pm: Students break for lunch
- 1pm-2:30pm: Afternoon clubs, including Arabic music, calligraphy, dance, and cooking
- Homework: Students should expect to spend about an hour on homework every night
Graduation, August 2, 2008: Students with a passing grade and regular attendance will be invited to a graduation ceremony for them and their families, where the students will receive a diploma for the Arabic Summer Academy and a $500 college tuition scholarship.
